The Village Solicitor shall be an Attorney at Law admitted to practice before the Courts of Ohio. The Village Solicitor shall act as the attorney and counsel for the Village and the officers thereof in their official capacity and shall prosecute or defend all civil actions by or against the Village or the officers thereof during the term of their employment. The Village Solicitor shall render legal opinions to Council or any officer of the Village upon written request.
