The Utah state legislature has authorized counties to enact a local option transportation corridor preservation fee that may be collected at the time application is made for registration or renewal of registration of a motor vehicle under assessment and collection of fee pursuant to Utah Code Annotated, 1953, sections 72-2-117, 72-2-117.5, and 41-1a-1222, as currently amended.
