(a) By the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act of 1974, and the Code of West Virginia Chapter 16, Article 1 and Public Health Laws, West Virginia Bureau for Public Health Chapter 1, Article 5B, the water purveyor has the primary responsibility for preventing water from unapproved sources, or any other substances, from entering the public potable Water system.
