The Chief of Police is directed to mark off individual parking meter spaces in the parking meter zones designated by authority of Council. These spaces shall be designated by lines painted or durably marked in the curbing or surface of the street or parking lot area. No person shall park any vehicle in such a way that it shall not be entirely within the limits of the space so designated.
