Property owners building driveways to public streets requiring drainage shall be required to install a culvert thereunder with a minimum diameter of 15". Provided, however, that if the 15" culvert does not properly handle the surface runoff, the property owners will be required to put in a larger culvert of sufficient size to handle said runoff. If the driveway connects to a WV Division of Highways roadway, the driveway and culvert sizing shall conform to the West Virginia Division of Highways Driveway Design Standards Manual. A driveway permit and inspection shall be required through the WVDOH Office.
