The COS is committed to provide a safe and hazard-free environment for all its employees. The COS complies with all applicable requirements issued by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act and the state of West Virginia. Employees must immediately report any hazardous or unsafe working conditions to your supervisor.
The COS will make every effort to provide working conditions that are as healthy and safe. Employees are expected to be equally conscientious about workplace safety, including using proper work methods and reporting potential hazards. The objective of the safety and health program is to reduce and eliminate disabling injuries and illnesses.
The COS safety policy and practices will be strictly enforced including possible termination from employment of employees found to be willfully negligent in the safe performance of their jobs.
If an employee is injured in connection with employment, regardless of severity of the injury, the employees must immediately notify his or her supervisor and complete the required reports.
Failure to comply with the COS safety and health policies can result in disciplinary action up to and including termination from employment.
