The COS provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, veteran status or any other legally protected status in accordance with applicable state, federal, or local law. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including, but not limited to, hiring, placement, promotion, termination from employment, layoff, recall, transfer, compensation, and training.

Any employee that believes he or she may have been denied equal employment opportunity, or may have been subjected to unlawful harassment, must report the matter immediately and in writing to the HR Manager and the matter will be investigated. If an employee does not feel comfortable reporting the matter to the HR Manager, he or she shall report the matter in writing to the Mayor for investigation. All employees shall cooperate fully in any investigation of unlawful harassment and discrimination.
