§ 52.19 APPLICATION FOR SERVICE.
   (A)   A written application for service under one of the established rate schedules of the borough’s Electric Department shall be required from each person who becomes a subscriber after the date of this chapter, and on the basis of such application, a contract for service shall be entered into between the borough and such subscriber.
   (B)   The charge for installation of each power service connection shall be $150, which sum shall be paid to the borough at the time the contract for service is entered into.
   (C)   In addition to the power service connection installation charge, a reasonable deposit or a suitable guarantee of security may be required of a subscriber, and shall be required of every applicant for temporary service and of every person not previously a subscriber who is a tenant of the premises to be served with electric current. The deposit required under this division (C) shall not be less than $150 or more than the maximum estimated bill that would be rendered for the period of temporary service or, in the case of an applicant for permanent service, for 60 days’ service at the applicable rate or rates. Upon discontinuance of the service, the deposit shall be refunded, less the amount of any indebtedness of the subscriber to the borough’s Electric Department.
