§ 33.05 REGULAR ELECTION DATE AND BEGINNING OF TERM OF OFFICE.
   (A)   All regular general elections for the office of Mayor and the offices of Town Council members shall be held on the first Tuesday following the first Monday of November in odd numbered years. The terms of office of persons elected in a regular election shall begin at the first regular meeting in December, and terms of those elected in special elections shall begin at the first regular meeting of Council following their election and qualification.
   (B)   Upon the enactment of this section, the town’s next general election shall be on November 4, 2025, thus extending the terms of office of the Mayor and three Council persons to the first regular Council meeting in December 2025. Thereafter the next general election shall be held on November 2, 2027, thus extending the terms of three Council persons to the first regular Council meeting in December 2027.
