The Building Inspector or Building Inspections Contractor shall review and approve or disapprove plans for new construction, renovation, repair or demolition of buildings or structures. The employee or contractor shall inspect all construction or reconstruction to assure compliance with the Building Code, the standard construction codes and technical regulations adopted by Council, the flood control laws, the zoning laws and other applicable laws and regulations. The Building Inspector or Building Inspections Contractor shall have full police power to enforce said laws and regulations.
