Town Council finds that it is in the best interest of the people of this town to protect nonsmokers from involuntary exposure to secondhand smoke and to reduce the pollution of its beaches, public parks, access paths and other public facilities. Therefore, Town Council declares that the purpose of this chapter is to preserve and improve the health, comfort and environment of the people of this town by limiting exposure to tobacco and vaping smoke, and reducing the pollution caused by tobacco products, tobacco byproducts and vaping products.
