The Mayor shall be the chief executive of the town. As such, he or she shall have the powers and perform the duties prescribed for him or her by statute, this code and other ordinances. He or she shall be vigilant and active at all times in causing the ordinances and laws for the government of the town to be duly executed and put in force. The Mayor shall have the usual powers and duties incident to his or her office.
