§ 34.06 COMMENCEMENT OF TERMS OF OFFICE.
   (A)   The term of office of a person elected at a regular city election shall commence on the first day of the year immediately following the election.
   (B)   The term of office of a person elected at a special election shall commence on the specified date in the resolution or ordinance authorizing the election.
