A permit is required for alteration, demolition, or relocation of a structure which is a designated historic resource.
(1) Alteration. Alteration as governed by this chapter means any addition to, removal from, or change in the appearance of any part or portion of a designated historic resource.
(2) Exception. A permit is not required under this chapter for alteration of a structure when review of the proposed alteration is required by an agency of the state or federal government.
