The fee to be collected for the issuance of a building permit by the Village shall be two dollars ($2.00) for all construction costing under five thousand dollars ($5,000) and five dollars ($5.00) for all construction costing five thousand dollars ($5,000) or more; provided, however, that if the building permit applicant is requested to obtain a zoning permit, then the building permit shall be waived by the Village.
