3-4-1: DEFINITIONS:
   ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR: For the purpose of construing this chapter, the term "alcoholic liquor" shall include the four (4) varieties of liquor, namely: "alcohol", "spirits", "wine", "beer" and every liquor or colloid, patented or not, containing alcohol, spirits, wine, or beer and capable of being consumed as a beverage by a human being, as the same are now defined by the Illinois Liquor Control Law, as amended and now in force, together with all regulations lawfully adopted and promulgated in the application and administration of said law.
   SELL AT RETAIL OR SALE AT RETAIL: The phrase "sell at retail" or "sale at retail" shall refer to sales to a consumer, and shall not refer to sales for the purpose of resale in any form; the word person shall include, and be construed to mean, any person, firm, co-partnership, club or association; the word licensee shall include the principal, proprietor, agent, servant or employee acting for and on behalf of said licensee.
All words and phrases used in this chapter which are defined in 235 Illinois Compiled Statutes, as amended, shall have the meanings according to such words and phrases in said statute. (Ord. 2018-03-13, 3-13-2018)
