10-2-4: PROCEDURE FOR BUILDING PERMIT ISSUANCE:
The procedure for the issuance of all building permits shall be as follows:
   A.   Application for building permit. The application for building permit shall be kept at the office of the Village Clerk and made conveniently available for applicants. Each applicant is hereby required to fully complete an application for building permit, and return such completed application to the Village Clerk for processing.
   B.   Submission to Zoning Committee. Upon receipt of a completed application for building permit, the Village Clerk shall send notice and a copy of the Application to each member of the Zoning Committee for review.
   C.   Vote by Zoning Committee. Within thirty (30) days of receipt of an application for building permit by the Village Clerk, the Zoning Committee shall discuss the application, vote on whether to approve or deny a building permit to the applicant, and shall notify the Village Clerk of their decision. The applicant may be present for this meeting.
   D.   Notification and issuance of building permit. Within five (5) days of the Village Clerk's receipt of the Zoning Committee's decision regarding an individual application for building permit, the Village Clerk shall notify the applicant of the Zoning Committee's decision. If the Zoning Committee has approved the application, the Village Clerk shall immediately issue a building permit to the applicant.
   E.   Appeals to the Board of Trustees. Within thirty (30) days of the Village Clerk's notification that the Zoning Committee has denied an application for building permit and refused to issue a building permit, the applicant may, by requesting in any written document delivered to the Village Clerk within the time frame contained herein, appeal the decision of the Zoning Committee to the Board of Trustees of the Village of Stronghurst.  (Ord. 07December2020, 12-7-2020)
