137.03 RESIDENTIAL STREET LIGHTING ASSESSMENT POLICY.
   Commencing upon the adoption of this section the policy of the City of Streetsboro with respect to assessments for residential street lighting, for the years 2001 and thereafter until repealed or modified, shall be as follows:
   (a)   The City of Streetsboro shall pay the costs of electricity provided to residential neighborhoods, i.e. the operating costs for such street lights within the City.
   (b)   The City of Streetsboro shall not be obligated to pay for the initial costs of establishing or creating any residential street lighting system, nor shall it be obligated to provide for the maintenance costs thereof.
   (c)   Council reserves the right to revisit the issue and lower its participation below the one hundred percent (100%) assumption of electrical costs should the cost of street lighting become prohibitive.
