(a) Water service may be terminated at any premises where the account is delinquent, provided that the customer and any other person who has requested to receive duplicate bills associated with that premises have received at least twenty-one (21) days advance notice of termination by mail, and further provided that no termination shall occur sooner than seven (7) days after posting a termination notice on the main entry door or closest accessible entrance of the premises served, and in the case of a multi-family dwelling, at the entrance door of each dwelling unit, if accessible.
(b) Any account that is brought current after a termination notice has been posted at the premises, but before actual termination of service, shall incur a tag fee in the amount of $10.00. The tag fee shall be added to the next following bill.
(c) After termination for nonpayment, water service shall not be restored until the account has been brought current, including payment of any penalties. In addition, the Director shall require payment of a service charge of $50.00 for restoration of service.
(d) The Water Billing Adjustment Board may waive penalties, tag fees and/or service restoration fees in the event of a demonstrated mistake or hardship.
