A Department of Planning and Zoning is hereby established, under the direction of the Planning Director, to assist the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Zoning and Building Appeals in their ministerial duties; to assist the Planning Director in the performance of his or her duties; to provide information, policies, and proposed ordinances to Council as approved by the Mayor; and to administer and enforce the City planning and zoning ordinances and tree-related ordinances.
