SECTION 3.01 ELECTION AND TERM.

The Mayor shall be elected at a regular Municipal election for a term of four (4) years which term shall commence and the Mayor shall assume office at 12:01 a.m. on December 15th following said election. He shall hold office until his successor is elected and qualified. He may be a candidate to succeed himself.
