For the purpose of this chapter the following definitions shall be applicable:
(a) “Junked motor vehicle” means any motor vehicle that is partially dismantled or wrecked and that cannot safely or legally be operated on a public highway.
(b) “Abandoned motor vehicle” means any operative motor vehicle parked on private property for ten (10) days or longer without the permission of the person having ownership or the right to possession of the private property, or any motor vehicle parked and unattended on a public street or right of way or other public property for a period of five (5) days, except if immediate removal and impound of any motor vehicle is required for public health, safety, or welfare, as determined by the City Police Department.
(c) “Days” means calendar days, including weekends and holidays.
(d) “Motor vehicle” means any self-propelled land vehicle that can be used for towing or transporting people or materials, including but not limited to automobiles, trucks, buses, motor homes, motorized campers, motorcycles, motor scooters, tractors, snowmobiles, dune buggies and other off the road vehicles.
(e) “Motor vehicle accessories” means any part or parts of any motor vehicle.
(f) “Person” includes any individual, firm, partnership, or corporation.
(g) “Private property” means any real property not owned by the federal government, state, county, City of Streetsboro, City school board, or other political subdivisions.
(h) “Removal” means the physical relocation of a motor vehicle to an authorized location.
