(a) Intent. It is hereby declared to be the legislative intent of Council, in the enactment of this chapter, to establish procedures for the handling of a hazardous release (spill) within the City of Streetsboro, including notification to authorities of the hazardous material release (spill), the actual handling of hazardous release (spill), hazardous materials, and reimbursement to the City of Streetsboro and/or its agents, employees or licensees for the handling of hazardous material release (spill).
(b) Purpose. It is hereby declared to be the purpose of this chapter to provide for the handling of hazardous material release (spill) within the City of Streetsboro.
