Upon the issuance of a demolition permit, the person, firm or corporation shall have thirty (30) days in which to complete the work required. If in the opinion of the Building Director additional time is required, he may issue an extension of such time required to do the work. If the work required is not completed within the allotted time, the Building Director is hereby authorized to employ the necessary labor and equipment to compete the work and deduct the cost from the cash deposit, bond, insurance policy or combination thereof. Where there is no deposit, bond or insurance policy, then the person, firm or corporation responsible for the demolition of the building or structure shall be held accountable for any cost incurred to finish the work required.
