331.41 SHORTCUTTING; AVOIDING TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES.
   (a)   No person shall operate a motor vehicle within two hundred feet of the intersection of any public streets within the City so as to avoid or to shortcut any corner of the intersection. The term “shortcut” means the continuous movement of a motor vehicle from the traveled portion of a public street to private premises and ultimately out upon the traveled portion of the public street so as to avoid or circumvent the instructions of a traffic control sign or other traffic control device or devices.

   (b)   Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. If, within one year of the offense, the offender previously has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to one predicate motor vehicle or traffic offense, whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. If, within one year of the offense, the offender previously has been convicted of two or more predicate motor vehicle or traffic offenses, whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
