9-1-2-14: ELEVATORS AND CONVEYING SYSTEMS:

3002.4 Emergency Medical: In all structures where passenger elevators are to be installed, at least one (1) elevator shall be provided with an emergency medical elevator to accommodate a stretcher in the horizontal position.

B. Subsection 3002.4.1 Size

3003.3.1 Size: The minimum distance between walls or between wall and door opening excluding return panels shall be designed with a dimension to allow a medical stretcher to be placed within the elevator car in a horizontal position.
