AMENDMENT TO SECTION 2303
MINIMUM STANDARDS AND QUALITY
   A.   Subsection 2303.4.1 Design:
   Add: Engineered Wood Products: All pre-manufactured wood floor assemblies shall meet the minimum live load deflection L/480. All trusses shall have metal gussets. Floor trusses shall be designed for a floor load of L/480.
AMENDMENT TO SECTION 2304
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS
   A.   Subsection 2304.8.1 Structural floor sheathing:
   Delete the text in this subsection in its entirety and insert the following:
   All floor sheathing shall be a minimum where provided for; three-quarters (3/4") inch plywood tongue-and-groove joints.
   B.   Subsection 2304.8.2 Structural roof sheathing:
   Add sentence: Plywood provided for roof sheathing shall be a minimum of one-half (½) inch thick. OSB shall not be used for roof applications.
AMENDMENT TO SECTION 2308
CONVENTIONAL LIGHT-FRAME CONSTRUCTION
   A.   Insert Subsection 2308.5.1.1
   2308.5.1.1 Bearing walls: All bearing wall shall be constructed of a minimum two (2) inch by four (4) inch nominal lumber and shall have a minimum of two (2), two inch (2") by four inch (4") nominal lumber top plates. Wall stud spacing shall not exceed sixteen inches (16") on center.
   B.   Subsection 2308.5.1.2 Nonbearing walls and partitions:
   Amend the following:
   Change: Where it reads 28" change to 24".
   Studs in nonbearing walls and partitions shall be constructed according to the following:
      1.   Studs shall be of continuous lengths without splicing.
      2.   Walls six (6) feet or more of unsupported length containing openings shall be constructed as bearing wall according to Section 1703.2.2.
      3.   Walls six (6) feet or more of unsupported length without openings shall have minimum nominal lumber of 2 inch by 4 inch and maximum spacing of two (2) inch by four (4) inch lumber shall be sixteen (16) inches on center.
   C.   Subsection 2308.7.5.1 Wind uplift:
   Add sentence: Metal straps approved by the Code Official shall be used to secure the roof rafters or roof trusses to the wall top plate.
