8-1-2-1: SIGNS IN RIGHT OF WAY PROHIBITED:
   A.   Sign Defined: A sign is any object, device, or structure or part thereof situated outdoors which is used to advertise, identify, display, direct or attract attention to an object, person, institution, organization, business, product, service, event or location by means including words, letters, figures, designs, symbols, fixtures, colors, motion illuminations or projected images. The term "sign" includes but is not limited to any projecting sign, wall sign, printed sign, roof sign, billboard, posterboard, freestanding sign, ground sign, pole sign, window sign, vehicle sign, awning, canopy, marquee, changeable copy sign, illuminated sign, flashing sign, portable sign, pennants, banners or any other attention getting device or any other display.
   B.   Sign In Right Of Way Prohibited: No sign shall be located, erected or maintained upon any public right of way or parkway for any purpose whatsoever except that this subsection shall not apply to the "entrance" and "exit" signs located, erected or maintained in conformance with the Village Zoning Ordinance (Title 11 of this Code).    C.   Violation: Any person found guilty of violating subsection B of this Section shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00). (Ord. 1998-7, 1-22-1998)
