The fire chief may appoint any reputable person as a paid on call firefighter to serve for such term and on such conditions as may be designated by the terms of such appointment. Paid on call firefighters shall have the same duties while on duty as full time employees of the fire department and shall receive such compensation as may be provided by the board of trustees. Appointments may be revoked at any time by the village board or the fire chief. (1994 Code)
