It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on any residential street in the village, being any street located in a residentially zoned district as established by the zoning ordinance of the village, when the gross weight of the vehicle exceeds five (5) tons. Where lower limits are imposed by village ordinance and signs indicating such limitations are posted, it shall be unlawful to operate a vehicle in excess of such weight on such street, except for the purpose of making delivery or picking up a load, in which case such vehicle may be driven on such street for not more than the minimum distance necessary for the purpose.
This section shall not apply to the following streets which shall be regulated by weight limits applicable from 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/15-111: (1994 Code)
