It shall be unlawful to park, place or permit the parking or placing in the open, of any inoperable motor vehicle on any premises within the Village. The Police Department shall give five (5) days' notice by posting upon any such motor vehicle the requirement that said vehicle is to be moved or stored under roof. Upon the failure to remove said vehicle upon the expiration of the five (5) days' notice, such motor vehicle shall be deemed abandoned and shall be confiscated by the Police Department and disposed of according to the statutes and ordinances of the Village in such cases made and provided. The foregoing penalty shall be in addition to all other penalties authorized by law. (1994 Code)
