A. There is hereby created the office of school crossing guard.
B. School crossing guards shall have such powers and duties as assigned to that office by the chief of police, and shall receive compensation from the village as agreed upon by the board of trustees.
C. Appointments may be revoked at any time by the chief of police.
D. This section does not make school crossing guards members of the police department and does not give them privileges or benefits otherwise provided for members of the police department. (1994 Code)
