   A.   Subsection 420.3 Horizontal separation:
   Add the following to Subsection 420.3 Horizontal separation
   Delete Exception and add:
   In Group R-2 and R-3 Structures: Dwelling units shall be separated by two-hour rated (vertical) walls, horizontal (floor) ceiling separation assemblies. Vertical separation walls between dwellings, and dwelling and other use groups, shall be constructed of masonry or concrete. Horizontal separation can be wood and/or drywall.
