The Village President shall be the official head of the Village for all legal purposes and shall have all such powers as may be granted by statute or Village ordinance. He shall be President of the Board of Trustees and shall preside at all meetings. He shall be ex officio member of all Village Board committees and commissions. He shall perform all such duties and make all such appointments as may be required of him by statute or Village ordinance. He shall devote to the duties of his office whatever time the faithful discharge thereof may require. (1994 Code)
