505.10 RABIES QUARANTINE.
   (a)   If a dog is believed to have rabies or has been bitten by any animal suspected of having rabies, that dog shall be confined by a chain and quarantined in an enclosed area on the owner's premises or placed under the observation of an authorized verterinarian at the expense of the owner for a period of ten days. The owner shall notify the Chief of Police of the fact that his dog has been exposed to rabies and at his discretion, the Chief may have that dog removed from the owner's premises to a veterinary hospital and there placed under observation for a period of ten days at the expense of the owner.
   (b)   No person knowing or suspecting a dog has rabies shall allow that dog to be taken off his premises or beyond the limits of the Municipality without the written permission of the Chief. No owner or other person, upon ascertaining that a dog is rabid, shall fail to immediately notify the Chief, who shall either remove the dog or summarily destroy it.
   (c)   No person shall violate a rabies quarantine order issued under Ohio R.C. 955.26.

   (d)   Whoever violates any provision of this section shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor for a first offense and a misdemeanor of the fourth degree for each subsequent offense.
