373.25 IMPOUNDING BY POLICE; LOST BICYCLES.
   (a)   If the operator of a bicycle violates any of the provisions of this chapter, the bicycle may be immediately taken and impounded by the Police Department and shall be held by the Department until proper ownership is proven.
   (b)   A notice of the section violated shall be attached to each impounded bicycle and the bicycle shall be released to the proper owner only by one of the following methods:
      (1)   A payment of ten dollars ($10.00) and the signing of a release to court; or
      (2)   A citation issued charging the cause of impoundment.
   (c)   Any impounded bicycle not released under subsection (b) hereof shall be considered abandoned property after a period of three months.
