The City of Stow Business Retention Grant Program provides a monetary grant to an existing Stow business for the purpose of retaining the employment and payroll base of that business in Stow. This program is intended to have limited applicability and be used in those instances where a large Stow business has demonstrated that it is considering relocating their business outside of Stow. The Business Retention Grant is an annual payment from the City's non-tax (general fund) revenues equal to a portion of the payroll tax paid as a result of the retained employment. (Ord. 2015-40.
