Each applicant registered in accordance with the provisions of this chapter shall be known as a Registered Contractor. The Registered Contractor shall designate a supervisor of work for which approval and permits are required under the registration. The person designated as the supervisor may be a person in the executive employ of the Registered Contractor, or, if the Registered Contractor is an individual, may be the Registered Contractor, or, if the Registered Contractor is a firm, may be a member of the firm, or, if the Registered Building Contractor is a corporation, may be an officer of the corporation. The same person shall not be designated as the supervisor in two or more registrations issued to different persons, firms or corporations. In the event that the business association or employment of the supervisor by the Registered Contractor terminates, the registration shall be null and void sixty days after the termination, except where another is designated, to the Building Department, as the supervisor. In the event the Registered Contractor dies, the company or firm shall have ninety days to obtain another holder. (Ord. 2012-4. Passed 1-26-12.)
