The Director of Public Safety is authorized to appoint qualified personnel to perform general classified duties within the Department of Public Safety, so as to fulfill the authorized positions of Radio Dispatcher, and Public Safety Communications Supervisor, consonant with the salary appropriations of Council. The job description shall be in the civil service, classified and competitive service of the City.
