(a) Members of the Auxiliary Fire Force shall be appointed by the Fire Chief with the approval of the Mayor, acting as Director of Public Safety.
(b) Members shall not be classified under civil service nor be required to meet civil service requirements such as age.
(c) Members shall be trained in every phase of fire fighting and shall be required to attend all regular and special drills of the Fire Department with compensation as determined by Council.
(d) Members shall be provided with the necessary protective clothing and equipment by the City.
(e) When performing any duties required by the Fire Chief, other than attendance at drills, members shall be compensated at an appropriate hourly rate a determined by Council.
