(a) Every person so appointed and commissioned shall first secure a permit from the Mayor, acting as the Director of Public Safety.
(b) The permit shall be revocable by the Mayor, acting as the Director of Public Safety, for cause. When the Mayor is contemplating a revocation, he shall send, by registered mail, notification of a hearing to the permittee involved, which hearing shall be held at least five days before the effective date of the revocation.
