1309.08 COMPLIANCE REQUIRED; EQUITABLE REMEDY.

   (a)   No person shall violate or fail to comply with any provisions of this chapter.

   (b)   In addition to the penalty provided in Section 1309.99, an increase in the amount of three hundred percent (300%) of the application permit fee shall be assessed by the Chief Building Official against any person who begins work on any building or structure in the City without first obtaining a proper permit and paying in advance the appropriate fee therefor as established in this chapter. Predated money orders, checks and vouchers shall not negate this subsection since it shall be necessary to have the permit issued before any work is undertaken.

   (c)   The application of the penalties provided in Section 1309.99 and subsection (b) hereof shall not prevent the City from obtaining an injunction to enforce the provisions of Section 1309.01 et seq. or from obtaining any other equitable relief allowed by law.
