For the purposes of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings ascribed to them respectively:
(a) “Recycling participation” means the separation of recyclable materials from other household solid waste and proper disposal thereof (as approved by the City).
(b) “Recyclable materials” means:
Newspaper - Used or discarded newsprint, including inserts.
Metal food and beverage containers - Any aluminum, bimetal or steel can used to package food or beverage products.
Plastic containers - Any HDPE or PET bottles or jugs.
(c) A “materials recovery facility” means a facility for the collection, sorting, processing and transfer or sale of recyclable materials for the purpose of reclaiming material.
