Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 715.20 and 727.011, there is established, for the purpose of regulating the planting, trimming, maintaining and removing of trees and other plant material in and along the public rights of way of the City, City-owned property and open spaces and controlling blight (disease and/or insect infestation) thereof, the Stow Tree District, also known as the City's Urban Forest, which shall be comprised of and include all public streets within the City, City-owned property and open spaces, and in which the planting, trimming, caring, controlling and maintaining shall be effected.
