(a) Nothing contained herein shall preclude the City, during the course of any licensed year, to conduct or require periodic inspection of the vehicles to assure their continued roadworthyness and safety, and nor shall any provision preclude the City from periodically evaluating the driver's records or status of licensed drivers of such taxicab companies to assure their continued safe driving habits.
(b) On request of the Director of Public Service, each taxicab service shall submit a monthly record of transports originating or terminating in the City.
