The provisions contained herein apply to all closed circuit vertical heat exchangers deeper than 20 feet, and private water supply wells in the incorporated and unincorporated areas of Story County. A private water supply well is defined in 567 IAC 38 as a well that does not supply a public water supply system. A public water supply system means a system for the provision to the public of piped water for human consumption, if such system has a least 15 service connections or regularly serves an average of at least 25 individuals daily at least 60 days out of the year.
