The town reserves the right to establish by ordinance or as provided wastewater discharge permits, limitations and requirements which are more stringent than those required by either state or federal regulation if deemed appropriate by the town or if necessary to comply with the objectives presented in § 51.40 of this chapter or the general and specific prohibitions in § 51.49 of this chapter, as is allowed by 40 C.F.R. § 403.4.
