§ 31.48 DIVISION OF FIRE.
   (A)   Responsibilities and duties of Department.
      (1)   The Division of Fire shall be required to perform all duties and related duties as set forth by state statute and village codes and ordinances.
      (2)   Any and all other duties as directed by the Director of Public Safety.
   (B)   Required personnel.
      (1)   There shall be one Commander of the Division of Fire appointed by the Mayor with advice and consent of the Board of Trustees.
         (a)   The Commander of the Division of Fire shall have those duties and job description as set forth by the Director of Public Safety and which may be amended from time to time.
         (b)   The Commander of the Division of Fire shall only have supervisory authority over those individuals within his or her Division.
         (c)   The Commander of the Division of Fire shall report directly to the Assistant Director of Public Safety who shall have immediate supervisory authority over the Commander of Fire.
      (2)   Firefighters in sufficient number shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees as deemed necessary by the Director of Public Safety and Commander of the Division of Fire.
