(A) Streets. The Director of Public Works shall have charge of the construction and care of all public streets, alleys and sidewalks in the village and with keeping the same clean. The Director shall ensure all gutters and drains function properly and are kept free from defects.
(B) Sewers. The Director shall have charge and custody of the sanitary and storm sewers systems in the village and shall ensure they are kept in good repair and function properly.
(C) Lighting. The Director shall supervise the lighting of the public streets and alleys and shall keep the lighting system in efficient operation and good repair.
(D) Water. The Director shall have charge of the care, functioning and maintenance of the village water works and waster distribution systems.
(E) Employees. All officers and employees assigned to the Department of Public Works shall perform their duties subject to the orders and supervision of the Director.
(F) Property. The Director shall be the custodian of all property of the village which is not assigned to the care or custody of any other officer.
