(A) Before entering upon the duties of Village Clerk, the Clerk-elect shall execute a bond in the amount provided by statute, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Clerk’s duties.
(B) Before entering upon the duties of Village Collector, as is authorized under ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, §§ 3.1-30-15, 3.1-35-120 and 3.1-35-130, the Clerk shall give bond with surety in the amount to be fixed by the Board of Trustees conditioned for the faithful discharge of the Collector’s duties. The bond shall be filed with the Village Treasurer.
